Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information and Opt Out of Targeted Advertising

This page forms a part of the Ancestry Privacy Statement. It explains the additional opt-out rights that California consumers have under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). We offer these rights to customers in the U.S. As further described in our Privacy Statement, Ancestry uses tracking technologies to deliver relevant advertising and marketing that is based on personal information obtained or inferred over time from your use of unaffiliated websites, applications, or online services to predict your preferences or interests. This processing is referred to as a "sale" or a "share" under California’s CCPA. It is referred to as "targeted advertising" under Virginia’s Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) and some other U.S. privacy laws.
